Rabbi Stanway is very happy to announce the formation of an Introduction to Judaism/Conversion/Adult B'nai Mitzvah Class.  This class will begin January 6th, 2010 and will meet approximately every 2 weeks through December, 2010 with the exclusion of the summer months.  This class is an excellent chance to learn Hebrew, fufill the academic requirements for conversion and, if you are a member of Beth Miriam, culminate in your Bar or Bat Mitvah in January, 2011.    We will be studying Jewish History, traditions, holidays, Hebrew, texts, ethics and many more things and we will be creating our own community within a community. 

 

This model of study has been very effective and you are invited to participate.  As of this writing, we are not sure if the Union for Reform Judaism is going to sponsor this event so we don't know what the cost will be.  However, if you are interested, contact Rabbi Stanway at 732-222-3754 or rabbi@bethmiriam.org to get your name on the list
