Hi, my name is Matthew Hall, I am 12 years old and I become a Bar Mitzvah on March 29, 2008. For my Bar Mitzvah project I am volunteering my Saturdays at SunRise Assisted Living Home. I play cards with the elderly. I also talk to them, and help them complete their arts and crafts. I always have a good time. I learn something everyday by going there. I talk to a lot of people who have come from different backgrounds. I always enjoy being there with them, and I know that they look forward to me visiting with them on Saturdays.

Also last spring I helped out with the Challenger League. The Challenger League is a sports league for kids that don't have the privilege to sports. We help them learn the game of baseball, and many other sports, along with playing and laughing with them. I was lucky enough to be a buddy to the same boy every week. We would run the bases together and I would help him with his batting. I loved volunteering my time with these very special kids. I love to play baseball and it was so special to me to help someone else who also loves to play.
